Description: LMA Architects have gained planning permission for a substantial remodel and extension to a dormer bungalow in Lilliput, Poole.

The clients required the house to expand into a four-bedroom detached home for their growing family. The plans feature a wrap-around extension on the ground floor, with two large open plan living spaces, kitchen and dining space. One of the clients’ priorities was having suitable areas for working from home. Two separate offices are positioned off the hallway to provide privacy to focus on work.

Another important priority of the client was to modernize the house’s appearance. Introducing modern detailing to traditional materials such as stone and render helped transform the bungalow into a contemporary home.
