Description: Planning permission was granted for this subterranean property located near the coast in Swanage, Dorset.. The site is a highly constrained Conservation Area site, adjacent to listed buildings. The design had to be highly sympathetic to the neighbouring Grade II Listed buildings and make no material change or negative impact to the Conservation Area. This was achieved by a clever design idea to use the existing topography of the site and ‘hide’ the building underground. Therefore, the site would still look the same with no impact on the character of the area and zero impact on the Grade II Listed buildings.
