Description: LMA Architects were approached to design a substantial country dwelling in rural Gloucestershire. The house sits on top of the landscaped garden and maximises views out to the surrounding countryside. The house cuts into the landscape to the rear, providing level access to the garden from lower ground level.

The client wanted the home to be accessible through a lift. The lift shaft appears from the outside as if it is a large chimney which helps to integrate the lift shaft into the architecture.
